In the last 365 days we've traveled about 20,000 miles and spent about £20,000. £1/mile is pretty good going. But look what we could have got instead:

• 2 cases of vintage Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne, 1981
• a Pablo Picasso, Original Colour Etching & Aquatint, 1945
• 19 ½ pieces of pie
• Roma Caravan and Awning on site in Benidorm, Spain
• a Zafira VXR 5-Door MPV
  
• a 30 sq m house called Casa Piccolina in Irsina, Italy
• 1 night in The Sky Villa at The Palms, Las Vegas

All in all, I think we made the right choice. Although that pie does sound pretty good.
