It started the second she walked through the arrivals gate and told us that they had lost her bag, along with 20 or so others, and that we had to wait in a long queue to speak to the lost baggage people. They were quite efficient though and we were on our way in a hour or so. However, her misfortune struck again only minutes later as we were traveling along the motorway in taxi that inexplicably stalled and drifted to a halt on the hard-shoulder. This time it took 10 mins of tinkering in the (gas-powered?) engine and a push-start to get us on the road again.
We thought she had spent all of her bad-luck, until the following afternoon. Again we were in a taxi, driving back from an afternoon in town, when WHAM... we were hit from behind by some crazy women. Maybe it was the shock but she looked drunk to me. The heavy traffic meant she wasn't traveling at the usual manic speeds and we escaped with only minor whiplash.
Erin's health wouldn't remain unharmed however, as she has contracted a nice gum infection that has swollen her cheek like a chipmunk. We considered "lifting" the curse during our day out to a wild-life park - into the puma enclosure. It was a quiet day and there would only be a few jinxed clothes remaining by the time they came to clean up. We should have taken the chance when we had it, as on the way back to Buenos Aires another strange mechanical failure left us stranded on the side of the road again.
Aside from all this though, we've been having a great time with Hannah and a course of antibiotics has sorted out Erin's hamster-like features. Hopefully, we have now left Hannah's bad-luck behind. If not, we'll just have to leave her bad-luck behind in the sierra.

If you trade the cars for horses in the sierra you'd better be careful![that's not a Ford Sierra is it?] Can horses break down? --seems hannah may be able to make it happen!
Continue the good times. XX
