Viva Espaňola!
ohmygod we made it! Got here Friday night and we've been drinking caipirinhas
(too long too wait for the real ones in Rio), eating tapas and drinking cerveza and generally having a wikid old start to our loco adventure with Nick and Palomi.
We went up to the mountains today and it was like being in the alps. There was snow everywhere...could've gone snowboarding, but we decided on getting some rubbish sleds instead...which actually turned out to be pretty funny...and it was all a bit crazy to think that in 2 days time we'll be on Cococapana with the beautiful people...
(i'm going for a spray tan tomorrow - si's going to risk it!)
I still don't think it's sunk in that we've left, but we're having a rocking start and are so looking forward to Brazil...
We'll try and be good with keeping this updated...start as you mean to go on right? but please leave us little messages and email when you all have time...and we'll get some cool pictures up on here and more on flickr (check the link) when we've got some stuff worth showing you all.

Great to hear from you. I was woken at 6am on thursday with your text message beeping on the phone to say you'd arrived in Rio. You were moaning about the 35' heat and I was looking outside at 15 cms of snow! Spooky. Enjoy carneval. Will e-mail soon. Dad
